The Community Advisory Committee
Evergreen Brick Works expects more than 350,000 visitors annually. Located within a 5-km radius of more than 20 neighbourhoods and 150 schools, the centre will be an important community resource. There is greater cultural and social-economic diversity and population density in this area than any other in Canada.
Evergreen is committed to being a good neighbour that enriches the lives of those in the local area. In 2008 we created a Community Advisory Committee comprising 15 representatives from local groups, individual citizens and other stakeholders who meet quarterly with Evergreen staff to review and discuss any issues that have been raised by the local community.
The Community Advisory Committee has been instrumental in developing the Good Neighbour Policy, which ensures Evergreen Brick Works is responsive, respectful and accountable to its neighbours.
