Let us show you around! Join us to learn the story of EBW and discover how Evergreen reclaimed and revitalized this former industrial site into an award-winning environmental community centre and green technology showcase.

These tours touch on key themes related to the site, such as Sustainability, Art and Geology. We also provide specialized themes, such as Heritage and Graffiti, as well as tours in French!

Tours meet in the Young Welcome Centre and take place rain or shine.

Come explore the many programs and initiatives that support local farmers and producers, urban agriculture, sustainability and inspire eco-literacy and healthy eating for Torontonians of all ages. From the market to the gardens, your guides will lead you through our very edible site!

Brick Production and Geology with Ed Freeman
Saturday, July 20
Join retired historian and geologist, Ed Freeman, for a tour around Evergreen Brick Works exploring it’s over 400 million year old geological history! Learn the story of how climate change created the raw materials for the brick production that defined this site for almost 100 years.

We can accommodate a variety of groups and needs:

  • High school and post-secondary classes in fields such as environmental studies, architecture and more
  • Community and corporate groups looking for an educational and inspiring experience

Private Hikes

Discover the ecology and history of the Don Valley on a scenic hike through Moore Park Ravine, the historic Rosedale neighbourhood and Chorley Park. Led by an experienced Evergreen hiking leader, the 4.5km hike will take approximately two hours.
