Mechanics Workshops

Bike Works offers in-depth workshops in basic bicycle maintenance. You'll gain the skills and confidence to keep your ride in top shape and take home a patch kit for roadside repair.

Build a Bike

Weekly, Wednesday, October 12–Tuesday, November 8, 2011
6–8:30pm

Rebuild an old bike! In this hands-on, five-week workshop series, you will learn and apply some basic mechanical concepts to rebuild a bicycle from the frame up, using new and used parts. By the end of the series, you will have a new, re-built bike.

Location: Bike Works
Cost: $100, plus additional cost for parts
Registration: Pre-register by email at bikeworks@evergreen.ca, maximum 8. Please also tell us what kind of bike you are hoping to rebuild.
What to bring: An old bike you want to rebuild. Discussions will be had before the start of the workshop to assess if your bike is appropriate for this workshop.
We will provide: One-on-one instruction in rebuilding the different systems of the bike and access to parts as needed.
