Saturdays
June 1, 18, 15 & 22
1–3pm

In this series of four, 2-hour workshops, you will learn the basic skills to maintain your wheels—from fixing a flat to troubleshooting gears and brakes to putting the pieces together. Bring your bike and we'll provide the rest!

Flat Fix: Learn how to fix a flat at this hands-on workshop. By the end of the two hours you will be able to confidently fix your own flat.
Gears: Learn what gears are best for what terrain, how to use them effectively and how to do adjustments to keep your gears in tip top shape.
Brakes and Chains: Brakes are an essential part of your ride. Learn how to identify brake, rim and chain wear, how to adjust your brakes and how to replace them. You will also learn the basics of lubing your drive train to keep it in perfect form.
Putting it all together: Learn the basics of triaging any bike, the foundations of bike and helmet fitting and a safety check that will help you ensure your bike is in good mechanical condition.

Cost: $70 for all 4 sessions

Learn to Ride
May 19, June 2 & 30, 2013
1–3pm

Come learn how to ride and hone your skills through this great program. Learning to ride a bicycle can be challenging but here at Evergreen we view learning to ride as a pivotal experience for people young and old. Our program has been developed using a brain science-approach to learning that is fun and effective.

Cost: $30
Registration: Email awallis@evergreen.ca. Payment is due at the beginning of the workshop.
