Seniors in Action

Is your seniors group looking for an innovative trip? Do you crave engaging opportunities to be active, share skills, and connect over healthy food? Do you like to spend time outdoors in nature? We offer customized sessions for community seniors groups interested in unique and interactive social opportunities that promote health and well-being.

All sessions and activity materials are FREE! Transportation is arranged at no cost (if required). Seniors programs are offered on Wednesdays and can include one or more activities. Please contact us for enquiries, customized sessions, or date changes.

Community Kitchen

Join us for a monthly Senior's Community Kitchen series! Our customized group sessions provide seniors and elders with engaging opportunities to share skills and knowledge, socialize with other community members, and prepare seasonal, nutritious meals that promote healthy food choices. Site Tours

Let us show you around! Book a customized site tour and discover how a Canadian charity reclaimed and revitalized a former industrial site after nearly two decades of abandonment into an award-winning environmental community centre and green technology showcase.

Nature Walks

Enjoy a walk through the ravine and into the valley. Interpretive nature walks encourage physical activity and active use of the ravine trail system.

Therapeutic Gardening

Water, weed and plant your way to a healthier lifestyle. Participants will take part in outdoor and indoor planting, food garden planting and maintenance, harvesting or composting. No prior experience needed—just be willing to get your hands dirty!

Clay Works

Use your imagination to create an original project. A clay artist will introduce you to clay and all its properties and guide you through your creation process in our Clay Works Studio.

Volunteer Opportunities

Join Evergreen in greening your city. We have volunteer opportunities of every shape and size. There are opportunities available at Evergreen Brick Works and across the GTA.
