Join us for a day of eco-festivities for the family in honour of our favourite day of the year! Activities include a special themed farmers’ market, tree tours, public planting, live music and an informative talk by Ecoholic author, Adria Vasil.

Weston Family Quarry Garden Tree Tour with LEAF
10:30am–noon
Join LEAF for a tour exploring the natural significance of the restored Weston Family Quarry Garden. Learn the importance of natural habitats in urban environments, tree identification and natural history. $5 suggested donation to LEAF. Registration is recommended!
Public Planting
10am–noon
Everyone is welcome to dig in, spend quality time with your family and friends and help make EBW a little greener. Meet in front of the Watershed Wall 10 minutes before the event starts to sign in. We will provide tools, gloves and light refreshments!
What to bring: Work clothes and a reusable water bottle

Nature Play in Chimney Court: Celebrating Beans
10:30am–noon
$5 suggested donation
Kids 4 to 7 are invited to bring their parents and meet us in the Greenhouse in Chimney Court to learn about beans. You'll plant your own bean to take home and watch it grow. Part of the Bean Keepers Project, a partnership with Evergreen, Seeds of Diversity and Garden Jane.
Talk & Book Signing with Adria Vasil
Noon–1:30pm
Bestselling author, columnist and expert on all things green, Adria Vasil, will talk about her new book, ECOHOLIC BODY: Your Ultimate Earth-Friendly Guide to Living Healthy and Looking Good, tackling the issues and product information that every health and planet-conscious Canadian should know. Adria’s talk will be followed by a Q&A and then a book signing. She will also bring products to show and tell.
